Are the Los Angeles Lakers Too Old?

Lebron is 36 years old and obviously doesn’t have much time left in the NBA. So, it doesn’t surprise me that he talked the Lakers into bringing in his friend Carmelo Anthony who is 37 years old. If I am being honest I kind of want Carmelo to win a championship because he has never won one and I think he deserves a ring. I can’t believe it took Lebron this long to get his team to sign Carmelo. The Lakers have also added other players who are over the age of 35 in Dwight Howard (35) and Trevor Ariza (36). But the most exciting roster move for LA in the offseason is the addition of Russell Westbrook who is now 32 years old.

Russell is a dynamic basketball player but if he wants to succeed in LA, he might have to change his game a little and focus more on assists. Russell is a triple double machine and will help the Lakers improve in rebounds and assists while also proving to be a problem for other NBA teams. Now the Lakers roster is one of the oldest in the NBA, but I think the talent they have on their roster is enough to get them to the NBA championship. Now if they do manage to get to the finals and have to play a team like the Brooklyn Nets, I don’t think they win. Brooklyn has the better team in my opinion, and I believe they will win the Finals next season. What do you think?
